Treeline Academy is the training home of the Silver State — and a training partner to the nation. We house the Nevada Public Health Training Center, part of the HRSA-funded Western Region Public Health Training Center network, and the Nevada Environmental Justice Training Center, part of the EPA Region 9 BRISA Center for the Environment network. We serve as a primary training contractor and partner for the American College of Preventive Medicine and a training partner with the National Hispanic Health Foundation.
If you are building public health capacity in Nevada, this is the trailhead. If you are building it anywhere else, we travel well: our health equity, leadership development, and rural capacity curricula are delivered to external communities and organizations across the country.

What we teach
Serving rural Nevada
An introduction to the rural county health officer position — the role that holds the line in counties with limited public health infrastructure, taught by people who have held it.
Rural board of health development
We help rural and frontier counties create boards of health from scratch, then train and develop them — bylaws to budgets, quorum to community trust.
County health data & dashboards
Technical assistance to counties — with or without health authorities — to build dashboards of their health issues and act on what the data says.
Environmental justice training
Hands-on training and technical assistance toward environmental, energy, and climate resilience, delivered through the BRISA network for communities across EPA Region 9.
Workforce training catalog
Skill-based online and in-person courses for the current and future public health workforce, with continuing education credit, through the HRSA Region 9 training network.
Health equity & leadership development
Our national training practice: health equity, leadership, and rural capacity building for health departments, coalitions, and organizations beyond Nevada's borders.

From open enrollment to embedded partnership
Open-enrollment courses. Join scheduled online and in-person trainings through our training center catalogs, most with continuing education credit.
Custom cohorts. We design and deliver training built for your workforce, your terrain, and your timeline — a health district onboarding class, a board governance intensive, a leadership academy.
Embedded capacity partnerships. For communities building infrastructure from the ground up, we stay: multi-year technical assistance, coaching, and evaluation alongside your team.
